Owners of IC Buses have a unique and exclusive opportunity to participate in a repower program set up between Cummins and Navistar.

If a customer’s EPA 2007 or EPA 2013 CE or BE model units are powered by a Maxxforce 7, VT365 or DT466, they can request a Cummins ISB6.7 repower.

WHY WOULD A CUSTOMER WANT TO DO THIS?

This repower upfit package is designed to improve:

  • Drivability: Smoother operation and greater engine response Serviceability: Increased service access on all sides of the engine
  • Reliability: More than 20 years of proven performance
  • Fuel economy: Significant fuel economy improvement results in fuel savings
  • Noise level: Drivers will notice a significant reduction in noise after repower
  • Resale value: 5-year warranty extends the life of the bus and new product increases resale value

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

1. Customer contacts their local International or Cummins branch and asks for a Cummins repower for their IC Bus.

2. The dealer will work with the customer to gather and complete the information needed:

  • Bus Profile Sheet
  • Notarized core destruction affidavit
  • Picture of engine data tag

3. The dealer will then order a repower package through their local Cummins branch or through the Navistar system.

4. Accepted orders will receive a confirmation and shipping date and work with their dealer to get the work scheduled.

WHAT DOES THE REPOWER PACKAGE CONTAIN?

1. New Cummins ISB6.7 engine and aftertreatment certified to 2007 or 2013 emissions standards.

2. Installation package containing components necessary to install the ISB6.7 engine system into the IC bus.
