Driver Training for 2010 On-Highway Engines

With the launch of the 2010 on-highway engines, Cummins has developed a number of tools for use in helping familiarize customers with what they need to know in regard to the 2010 products.

While these tools have been developed for general use, the customer interface with specific dash lamps may vary with each OEM. Please direct customers to their Operator Manuals for specific details as needed.

Cummins Driver Training Video

This DVD is about improving fuel economy and understanding the Cummins Aftertreatment System.

This DVD is intended for a classroom, lobby presentation, or 1-on-1 instruction or review.  Learn and review the way that fits any schedule, with 15 segments of video arranged so the viewer may choose to watch specific segments, or view it all in one sitting.  Complete, and to the point with Cummins' own Jason Owens, Customer Technical Support Manager and 20-year veteran driver, explaining all aspects of the Cummins engine.

Topics include: Fuel Economy, Trailer Gap, RPM, Electronic Features, Load-Based Speed Control, Gear-Down Protection, Compression Brake, Road Speed Governor, Cruise Control, Idle Control, Trip Information, the Cummins Aftertreatment System and more.  This DVD arrives in a durable, Cummins-branded case.

Cummins Radio CD

This CD describes tips and techniques to get the most out of the Cummins engine.

Designed for the drivers themselves, this CD is a great way to listen and learn while on the road.  This exciting compilation of 25 tracks includes tips and techniques to get the most out of a Cummins engine.  Driver training is sprinkled with historical facts about Cummins, music, "blasts from the past" and a game called "Where's your truck?"  Cummins' own Dr. Diesel (Zack Ellison, Director - Customer Support) and Jason Owens, Customer Technical Support Manager and 20-year veteran driver, make appearances as well.

The listener will learn about Fuel Economy, Load-Based Speed Control, Gear-Down Protection, the Cummins Aftertreatment System and the balance between Power and Performance - all in a lively, fun manner.  this audio training, packaged in a Cummins-branded cardboard sleeve, should be a hit with drivers, fleets and owner-operators.

Cummins Engine Driver Tip Card

The Driver Tip Card has been updated to help answer driver questions about differences between previous Cummins engines and the new Cummins 2010 products. The tip card describes the dash lamps you’ll see which relate to the aftertreatment system.  You’ll also find information about driver observations, fuel economy through shifting techniques, and fuel and oil requirements. The Cummins Driver Tip card is available to assist drivers in their awareness and actions required in relationship to new sounds and engine operation.

Parked Regeneration Demo Video

This video is intended to provide a high-level overview of the proper procedure for conducting a Stationary (Parked) Regeneration. Please consult your Cummins Owner's Manual for complete details on how to perform a Parked Regeneration, as well as necessary safety precautions.

Cummins Particulate Filter

Created to help customers understand a high-level of information about the aftertreatment system for their EPA-07 on-highway engines, a Cummins Particulate Filter flyer is available.  Because the 2010 engines continue to use this technology, you may also find it useful for EPA 2010.  The flyer features a cutaway graphic of the Cummins Particulate Filter with a high-level overview of the function of the system. Additionally, the flyer explains how the system works, what the driver will see, and what actions are required by the driver.
